Steven's Story
Life
I'm taking advantage of being single by living all over the world (London, Amsterdam, Paris, in addition to several places in the US), and helping invest in and grow startup companies. Hobbies include working on my new condo in San Francisco, photography, and travel.
College
Steve received a BS in aerospace engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
At MIT, he was a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity, and was a member of the Junior Varsity Crew and Sailing teams.

Before Akimbi, where he is VP Product Marketing, Steve was a principal at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, where he was involved in the end-to-end investment process and, as a board observer, provided operational guidance to software startups including ActiveGrid, Bridgestream, Five9, Jareva (acquired by Veritas), Knowmadic, Palamida, Sapias, Signal Demand, and Yosemite Technologies. Previously, Steve was at Extensity where he launched the marketing department and later ran the international professional services organization. He was also vice president of engineering at a technology consulting firm, and a design engineer at McDonnell Douglas.
