Sudeshna's Story
Life
I currently manage the software release managers (program managers) for Solaris and Sun Cluster releases at Sun Microsystems in the SF Bay Area.
I stayed in school for as long as I could. I got my two undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Then I went up to Montreal, Canada, where I attended McGill University for my Master's in Biomedical Engineering. After that, I started a Ph.D. program at the Harvard/M.I.T. Division of Health Sciences and Technology, as a doctoral candidate in the Speech and Hearing Sciences program. That didn't last long, since I couldn't stand cutti...Expand for more
ng up cadavers at Harvard Med School (although I loved my EE courses at MIT). Anyway, I fulfilled my lifelong dream of attending MIT, and then left to enter the real world.
I have been working in high-tech since I left school, and have worked in both software and hardware, as well as in the medical device industry. Fun, fun.
Travel: I've done my share of traveling. Places I've traveled to: Nepal, Thailand, India, Bermuda, U.K., France, Holland, Norway (my husband's mom is Norwegian, so we have been there several times), Sweden, Denmark, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Tahiti, and all over the U.S. (including Hawaii). I am hoping New Zealand is next...
