Sue's Story
Life
My Pets
Mixed breed dog named Fred and a black Chow/Lab named Blackie. These two are totally dedicated to each other. Also, have a black cat, Sheeba. All are spoiled rotten. 9/23/08 Unfortunately, I had Fred put down. He was 16 yrs old and he is missed.
05/09-Blackie had Hepatitis (never knew a dog could get this) and I had to put her down. She was 12 yrs old. Sad day. Sheba, my cat, was 18 yrs old and had kidney failure in August and we lost her. Don't have any new pets.
Adopted another 2 dogs...Bandit (Schnauzer) and Allie (mixed breed from the pound)....Always in competition. Bandit likes to boss Allie around until Allie has enuff and he backs down....Sound familiar to anyone? LOL
My Kids
I have a son named Doug. He's 34(born: 4/23/78. He's the best thing that ever happened to me. He definately straightened my life out. Made me finally grow up and take responsibility for my life.
My Job
I'm a Inventory Management Specialist for General Services Administration. I manage supplies for Government Agencies all over the world. I've been with the Government for almost 30 years (will have 30 in June). I will be retiring as soon as possible.....WOOHOO!!! Not a minute too soon...lol. 07/04/12... Still working on retiring. Hope to by the end of this year...Expand for more
. Really weird when you finally get old enuff to retire, then your house needs work...grrrrr.
My favorite way to blow off steam is take short road trips. Haven't done it in a while but it works for me. I'm planning a trip to Italy with a friend in the summer. Can't wait for that...just need to learn Italian for "Wine" and "pasta"....lol
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen, bathroom and add on a screened in back porch. My dream home would be by the ocean or in the mountains of New Mexico. See, dreams never end.
I have learned a lot from Doug, my son. I learned that no matter how much you teach them, they ultimately do what they want and forget what you think is important. He does have a mind of his own. Well, one day he will have kids and then......hehehehehe.
If I had one do-over in my life, it would be that I would have studied harder. I really wasn't a good student and just squeeked by. If I had really pushed myself, I would have gone on to college, gotten my degree and I would have never married my first husband. I would have gotten my life in order and married a good man and had at least 6 kids. I really regret that I have only one child (and I love him dearly) and wanted more. Some things I guess are never to be......maybe next time...:).
