Susan's Story
After high school I went to UNI and got my BA in teaching physical education. I taught in GooseLake, IA, for 6 years, got married, moved to Ames and taught in the Ames school system for 5 years. In 1985 I went back to school at ISU in exercise physiology and got my masters. While there I also taught dance and aerobics in the PE Dept. and worked in the Wellness Center. that he (Gene) got a job in Carroll, so we moved in August of 1993 and have been here since. I work in a Rehab Service Department in the hospital as an exercise physiologist/personal trainer. I teach exercise classes at the hospital and exercise and Tai Chi classes at the Rec Center. I also work at the local Catholic high school where I direct the fall play and coach speech. I plan to retire in 2 years from at least the hospital.
I have 1 daughter from my first marriage who has 2 boys and lives in Ames with her husband.
