Susan's Story
After I graduated from Bendale, I immediately had a job working for a newspaper company and I did it all. Paste-up, Typesetting, Ads, the whole 12 page paper. I loved the job but what really turned me off was, I found out my boss used to be a man. That's shocking back then! I thought she was an unusually unattractive lady. (if you can even say) That scared me away. Though, that job was the jump start to many other jobs in the art department! W...Expand for more
hen I was 23, I had joined a band and quit my job and said to all standing around the coffee truck, "I am going to be a musician and go on the road!" For 20 years after that, I have never regretted my decision. My parents said, If anything, "Don't be a musician and make the mistake that we have!" And so I became a musician. That's where I belong. Got married, had a daughter and now I'm a proud gramma! Still a musician till this day. That's me!
