Susan's Story
Life
After graduating from high school, I began studies at Columbia State, and finished my Associate Degree in Nursing. I began working as a Registered Nurse after that. I then finished my BSN from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002. I worked as an Emergency Nurse intermittently from 1998-2008, and as a Case Manager for a while in there.

I have been published twice. I was published in Nursing 2004 as a contest winner for my story "Mr Sam's Visitor." Reader's Digest then published the story as "The Preacher and the Felon" in September 2004. I have been offered by Nursing magazine to continue to write for them.
In the midst of all this, I am married to a wonderful guy- Carson. I have two wonderful kids- Avery and Molly.
My interests include improving healthcare and the lives of children, nursing satisfaction and morale, and decreasing healthcare injuries and death.
