Susan's Story
Life
After graduation from high school, went to Central Bible Collage in Springfield, Mo. Graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, but discovered that I was not a teacher. Married, worked at Silver Dollar City for 11 years managing food service shops. Dabbled in a few business classes, bought a 200 acre farm with husband, had 2 children a boy and a girl, raised anything that reproduced. Cows, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, rabbits, gardened, etc. Sold the farm, continued on with life. Left work at Silver Dollar City, got involved with working at a garment factor, when it closed went to Nursing School and graduated with honors, (LPN), which was my high school dream...Expand for more
. Went to work in a nursing home but did not like the death and dying, went back into tourism. I am currently working with tour coaches. Group sales Director. I get to hobb nobb with some of the entertainers, but mostly just trying to make ends meet. I did divorce after the children were grown, and have moved on with my life. I keep of list of things to do in my life. Little by little I get to cross things off. I look back on things with hindsight like all of us do. If I had one thing to pass on to anyone in this world, expecially the youth, it would be, "be the best student you can, it will make a world of difference in you life".
