Susan's Story
I left Michigan after college and moved to New York to dance. After about 5 years, I decided I was tired of being a waitress (!) and went to Social Work school. I worked in various psychiatric settings, became a psychoanalyst, and had a private practice; got married and had 3 kids. n Mike is now 22 and about to graduate from Brandeis; daughter Emily is 18, a freshman in the musical theater program at NYU; and her fraternal twin sister Sarah is living in a residential program about 1/2 hour away from me. I divorced about 2 years ago and after 30+ years in New York, recently moved to Philadelphia where I'm a psychologist at the Center for Autism Research at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
