Life
Hi there,
I am living in Calgary and have been out here for most of the past 38 years. With the exception of 1986 to 1989 when I was living in Nova Scotia. My marriage didn't work out and I returned to my beloved Calgary in August of 1989. 12 years ago I fell in love with a wonderful man and sadly in November/06 he passed away suddenly. So now my little family consists of myself and my cat. I had to say good bye to our beloved dog Bandit in 2012, he was 14. That broke my heart and although I love dogs, I haven't been able to bring myself to get another. I have seen most of Canada but that is about the extent of my travelling. I worked for the Calgary Flames until my position was eliminated in June of 2016. That couldn't have happened at a worse time with the economy tanking and jobs were very hard to come by...Expand for more
. I had to sell my house but everything happens for a reason and I have found a sweet deal on the main floor of a house in my old neighbourhood and finally got a job a mere 3 weeks ago. So far so good and I finally quit smoking. 'I was back to Owen Sound last June with my little sister Tracey and it was the first time for me in over 20 years. Whoever bought our farm did an outstanding job transforming the house, although I was stunned that they had cut down all the maple trees that lined the lane. We had a wonderful time touring around and going to all the places we went as kids. Then we drove to Ottawa to see our older sister that has MS and is confined to a home, such an awful disease and it was heart breaking to know she is never going to leave there. It was a very emotional trip but so very happy that we went.
