Susan's Story
I went to NCSU after graduation and got a degree in Business management, graduated in Dec. 1987. While there, I met Joe, a EE major. We married in March of 1988 and I moved to Winston-Salem. Joe was employed by RJ Reynolds Tobacco. He left the company a few years later and started working for a smaller company. We have three children. Jessica is our oldest, born in Nov. of 1990, followed by Christopher, 1992 and Julia Grace, 1995. I am a stay-at-home mom but volunteer at church and in the community. I shop for the church food pantry, keep a baby for an unwed mom and do a bit of counciling about spina bifida and medical advances in regards to treatment of spina bifida. Joe started a company about 7 years ago called Triad Automation Group (update 5-22-2022….Trimantec now)Both Jessica and I have worked there some doing stuff like filing, purchase orders and shipping/receiving. ants to do after graduation. She is currently working as a retailer and a babysitter after school and during the summer. Chris is working on his Eagle and plans to attend NCSU and study civil or mechanical engineering. Julia Grace is in middle school and plays wheelchair basketball for the Charlotte Rollin' Bobcats, so we travel some during basketball season.

Jessica graduated from NCSU and has worked around the Raleigh area and now has moved to the Greenville, SC area. She works in online marketing and is to be married in July. Christopher also graduated from NCSU and has worked for GE since prior to graduation. He and his wife are expecting a baby any day now. Julia Grace graduated from FTCC after a high school career that featured many, many surgeries. She is currently working in a medical office but still lives at home. I no longer work for my husband’s company, Trimantec, and am “retired”. We are still in Winston-Salem area.
