Susan's Story

What happened? 88-90 Yuba College, what the heck am I gonna do? 90-91 UC Santa Cruz (lib arts, mistake!) 91-94 UC Davis (Planning/Water Science, Loved it!) 1994 Moved to Portland on a whim with my dog Andesite and my boyfriend. (Stupid!) Hiking, Rafting, Rockclimbing here. 94-96 Portland OR: Barista, Haz Mat Tech (I was either covered in coffee or Latex Paint...) 96-97 Portland OR: Analytical Chemist -High Tech. Here I got to wear a bunny suit (no, not that kind) and run a machine called "ICP-MS". Ironic. 97-99 Portland OR: Analytical Chemist. Here is was continually covered in INK and got to wear steel-toed shoes. Also covered in ink. Met my hubby Jason. 99-02 Portland OR: E-com Website Devel. Finally, I had had enough dirty work. Got Married to an engineer (and Oregon Stage Beaver), Jason Myers, who's now a travelling 'sales engineer'. 2003 Baby Girl, Jordan Savannah, 6#10. 2005 Baby Boy, Jackson Parker, 7#11. Decide I'm never getting pregnant again. These days are like a different life than high school. Gawsh, I took myself wayy to seeriously. I still like that same kind of music and I'm pretty stoked that the whole leggings thing is back. Maybe for our reunion, I'll give myself a flattop, again. Nahhh. Anyhow, these days, I'm happy to laugh with friends over an IPA about how my 2 kids beat the crap outta thier classmates at school. Okay, its not that funny (since now we have to have a nanny,) but you have to laugh at life when trying to balance it all right? 2 careers 2 kids and trying to live all at once is challenging.
