Susan's Story
Ed and I are teaching at Auburn U (in AL--I'm in English, and Ed's in Comm and Journalism), and Miriam is doing fantastic. Nicholas was born in June '09; he's doing great, too!
We moved from Lubbock to Auburn in July '08, and I finally got my Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric from Texas Tech in August 2008. Good thing, too: my new job at Auburn U depended on it!
If it's been a long time (a very long ...Expand for more
time) since we talked, here's how I got to Lubbock. I moved to New Mexico in '94--after a layoff left half of my office unemployed--to study archaeology. I moved to Lubbock in '97 when I met Ed, and I worked for Texas's environmental regulatory agency. Later, I went back to school to work on a Ph.D.
