Susan's Story

Life I was married 30 years to a 1967 classmate, Ken Hickman. Ken died on September 27, 2007. We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I had worked for 26 years for Gloucester County, but am now retired and loving it. I still live in Gibbstown. I like to crochet, read, use the pool, go to dinner, visit with friends, and use the computer. Also, I am on the Historical Committee for Gibbstown. Anyone have any history, let me know. I have 2 cats, Honey and Cassidy. I found a wonderful man on an internet site. Dennis is now a big part of my life. We have been together since October and hope to be together for many more years. Life is wonderful. Oh, yeah, Dennis has a motorcycle, so I now ride with him and I love it!! Dennis and I got married on June 20, 2015 In Gibbstown. en. They all made it to the wedding except for one son and his family. We are now back home in Florida and waiting for grandkids to come for a visit and some friends. Still ride the motorcycle! In January 2022, I was appointed as Grand Electa of the Grand Chapter of Florida of the Order of the Eastern Star. There are only 9 appointed Grand Officers in Florida and I was so very lucky to be appointed. We have traveled the state of Florida and will do more traveling of the state in the fall and spring. We went to South Carolina for their Grand Chapter Session. We will be going to Kentucky and Alabama Grand Chapter Sessions. I am loving the traveling, people that I meet, my Grand Sisters, and the Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron. It is a once in a lifetime experience and I'm so happy I was picked and can do this.
