More about susan:"I have a masters degree in social work though I am currrently disabled. ously. I wont die from it but suffer all the encompassing symptoms it incurs. To find out about CFIDS just search chronic fatigue immune disorder on the internet, there is much written about it especially from the NJCFSA.
There has been a new and exciting (for me and fellow sufferers) finding in CFIDS. It is called limbic encephalitis, in other words there is inflammation in the lower part of the brain where the limbic system lives. The disease (no longer a "syndrome") is systemic, meaning it involves all parts of the body, from the central nervous system to the sympathetic nervous system. This is why no two people are affected exactly the same and our individual symptoms involve whole bodily functions, like sleep disorder(insomnia), pain, cognitive function, etc. I can go on forever. Again, there is much on the internet. But most importantly, with support from my friends, including everyone on facebook, my disease is now controllable and I am starting to live again. I love life, something I have NEVER said before, even as a child.".
