Susan's Story
Life
Well another year has gone by. My son John is now 14 and in 9th grade at Bay High! He's on the Bay High Swim Team and is in the newly formed Chess Club. He has been playing chess since his grandfather taught him at the age of 6! He bowls in the YABA league at Bowlarama and is an all around good kid. We are very proud of him. My husband Ralph is now retired and loving it! We raise racing pigeons and pure white pigeons for releases at weddings, grand openings, memorials and anything else you can think of. My husband and I just celebrated our 21st anniversary and we are still happy together. Well most of the time anyway...LOL. We have a Yorkshire Terrier named Tootsie who had pups around Christmas (2 boys and a girl. We kept the girl, Pupalini) and a calico cat named CatFace. We had a little Daschund/Poodle mix called Tazz but he died about a year ago at the ripe old age of 19. ...Expand for more
He was a joy in our life and we miss him very much. 5-4-03... A sad note... My father, Ned J. Dursema, passed away on March 13, 2003. He will be missed. 7-24- 04... Well my son John will be going into 11th grade in a couple weeks. He'll be 16 in Oct. and I've posted a recent pic of him. Doesn't he have the look of the guys from our school days? That hair! I told him he can have his hair any way he wants, just no piercings or tatoos. LOL. He's still on the swim team at Bay and is going to be the Butterfly guy this year. Last year he did the 500... that's 20 laps without stopping! He worked at the children's camps and VBS this summer and is very much into his church activities. As you can tell I'm pretty proud of him!!! 4/18/06 OMG... How time flies! My son John graduates from Bay High next month! Boy do I feel old. This is also the year of our 25th anniversary. Boy do I feel old.....
