Suzanne's Story
Life
I left Chomedy High because I failed algebra and didn't want to repeat a grade. Went to private school (convent) with Linda Adamovich (now Marsh) Tried teachers' college, St Joe's and couldn't stand the mentality. Got hired at Bell and did very well for myself. Went to Europe with Linda for a year 69/70
Married my first serious boyfriend who I had met at McGill- big mistake BUT got a wonderful daughter (Dominique) from marriage. Re- married 6 or 7 years later to someone I loved deeply. He contracted Hepatitis C and was sick for 12 years so the relationship faded. We have lived somewhat comfortably as housemates and thank goodness, that should end soon as he has found a condo somewhere else in Florida.Just starting to date again and enjoying each experience- 'weird' tho some may be!
I have my Master's in Adult Training and until Aug 06 managed the Center for Leadership & Professional Development at an aeronautical university. I spent a year working at a Correctional Institute- great, very rewarding experience. My daughter...Expand for more
is married to a State Trouper, lives nearby in St Augustine with her 3 year old boy Alyx and 9 month old girl Anabelle. She is a licensed therapist who has chosen to be a stay at home mom for a while.
I live in Daytona Beach, Florida and I have a cottage in Prince Edward Island where I have been spending a month a year.. My mom (87 and still acting and singing) and 3 sisters still live in Montreal. My interests are walking the beach, some running (hoping to make the Jacksonville marathon next year) 2 golden retrievers, a cat, my grand kids, and I still love writing- which I have done since grade 4. Because I have some tendency to 'getting the blues" (likely family-inherited melodrama!) I haven't published the book I have been working on for over 10 years! It's a humorous book about my mother called "With God and Carrot Juice"
I'd love to hear from anyone who went to the same school I did especially from Chomedy High. Those were some of the best years of my life- living in Laval. Had a ball!
