Life began again for me when my family left Lombard after HS and we moved back toward Chicago - to Oak Park! The suburbs are fine if you want to raise a family but you can lose yourself in the then non-cultural environment. Leaving and traveling was the best thing that happened to me. I love all things exotic & tropical: food, drink, clothing, cultures, music, etc. I am so thankful we did that and I embrace my multicultural parents!
