wow! Where did the time go. I went in the Air Force 11/2 after graduating from high school. Tried the college route and hated it. After meeting and marrying Dave who was also from N.Y. and in the AF too, we're going on 36 years of marriage and living in the job booming state of North Dakota! I never thought I'd see the day of living in such cold country! But this is where we ended up after Dave retired from the military. We have 3 sons who are scattered around the u.s. as 2 out of 3 are now military also. We have 2 grand children with 1 more on the way. I still can't picture us as not only middle aged but grandparents as well! I work at a major mid western home improvement store as accounts payable and am having fun at it. Th...Expand for more
e jobs are plentiful if anyone wants to come out here! Unemployment at its lowest in the nation. People think its cold all year long, but its not and the summers are beautiful. The rest of my sisters and brothers ended in Florida but I couldn't live there at all. 40 years since graduation! Wow! I still can't believe it. What a fun time! We were stationed at Davis Monthan AFB, AZ, and Andrews AFB, MD and Dave a tour in Iceland for a little over a year and we ended up here. Never would have pictured it! But after living here, I couldn't see myself living in a big city again. The military life was so much fun. Enjoyed every minute of it and wouldn't change a thing about what we did and where we lived. Take care everyone !
