Sid's Story
Just joined. Posted a history but apparently it did not go anywhere! So here is a re-run. After graduation from Hope High, I earned a BS degree in Biology and Religion at Walla Walla University in Washington State and then my MD degree from Loma Linda University, School of Medicine, in California. Returned to Canada and interned at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton in ‘69, Started a dual practice in Yellowknife but was called to Hong Kong one year later to work 6 years in the newly opened Hong Kong Adventist Hospital in the area of Preventative and Family Medicine. trics and health promotion in the Creston Valley Hospital. Did that for 30 plus years until retirement in 2008. Since then have done locums across Canada when requested and have done volunteer preventative medicine teaching overseas. Stints in Ukraine, Czech, Greece, China, Argentina and Bolivia have been fun, exciting and fulfilling. Happily married to Carol and have four wonderful children. I enjoy hiking, sailing, kayaking, camping, classical guitar and photography. Been to only 2 or 3 class reunions in Hope but would enjoy re-connecting with others who have shared my great times in high school. If this attempted post comes through this time, please let me know.
