After TJ, I went to college in Oregon, at Willamette University. I totally loved it there! Rain? Sure...more like a heavy mist, but nowhere near as bothersome as the torrential downpours that we have in Virginia! My whole family was from Washington State anyway so it suited me to be back on the west coast where I could visit with my favorite relatives, etc. Upon graduation from college, it was back to Virginia where I went to grad school at James Madison University and got a master's degree in school psychology. Spent my first three years in Iowa working as a school psychologist and then came back to Fairfax County and worked as a school psychologist for about twenty years.
