Tamara's Story
I home school our 8 year old son, Zachary. My husband Robbie and I are very active in the cubscouts. We go camping at least once a month. I try to teach our son the importance of every living creature and the impact on our envirnment if one of those precious creatures should become extinct. We plant trees to keep our planet green. We also place birdfeeders and birdhouses to invite the birds into our yard to observe and give them a place to live since most of the wild areas ...Expand for more
in our neighborhood is disappearing with the massive growth of the new homes and development in our area. They call me the "Recycle Queen" because I recycle everything I can. This keeps down the amount of trash in the landfill and helps to conserve energy used to make new things. A pie tin and a large soup can will become a birdfeeder with a little imagination. Let's face it, we only have one planet on which we live so let's keep it clean and healthy for the next generation.
