Tamara's Story

If you want to, find me on Facebook at w w w .f a c e b o o k .c o m s l a s h i n n o x i a. Or my electronic mail is r o s e t a m a r a s u e at y a h o o .c o m. Currently a second year nursing student at Iowa Central's Webster City campus. Was an Electrolux layoff, after 7 years of employment. I have one daughter, age 18, and am divorced. I like helping other people. I fix computers, occasionally, in my spare time. I don't have much spare time as school is my main focus at this point in my life. Oh and I'm a neat freak and an intellectual! About me: The youngest of 9 children, my parents separated around the time I learnt to walk, and divorced shortly thereafter. I went to Rolfe school growing up until about 5th grade. Mom got remarried and we went to live in Gilmore City. Then my parents got the idea to move to the Twin Cities. So we moved around some there, and they were in the process of buying a home. My stepfather's brother put him in a drawing for a car from Pepsi in Fort Dodge. My parents won the car, and I even got to pick out the color. So they decided to sell the car and move back closer to family in Iowa. Back to Gil...Expand for more
more City it was! By that time, I was in 8th grade and not real excited to go back to small town living. I took my cat, Casey. She was a great hunter, killing a sewer rat living under our house in St. Paul, MN. She would leave dead mice under my pillow as a gift. I went back to GC-B high school until tension at home got to be too much for me. Bad enough being a Jehovah's Witness kid and getting picked on in school for it. My stepfather threatened to beat me for showering. So I moved out and dropped out of high school, moving in with my sister in Rockwell City. To all those who thought I would never amount to anything, I finished my GED shortly after my 17th birthday. I then had a daughter shortly after I turned 18, and decided to go to college. I ended up getting married to a man I didn't really love, and started college at 19. He wanted us to move away to Montana, so instead of finishing college I moved over winter break in 1995. I was not happy with this decision or my marriage, and left back to Iowa, taking my daughter with me, who was very little at the time. I missed my family and friends in Iowa. I've been back home ever since.
