Tammie's Story

Life Hello everyone, it has been years and years and I don't know very many of you. Those of you who remember me know that I left Triton in my freshman year to "play house". My daughter Tori is 35 (as of May 2009) and has two beautiful little boys. I actually ended up entering college the same year that my class did, and spent 2 years at Northern Essex, going on to get a BS from Merrimack College going the night route. I am currently married (for the second time) and have two sons, 13 and 14 years old. I work as a Controller. It would be great to hear from anyone as I have totally lost touch with my past. School I did have a crush, but these things are better kept as memories. Nothing ever came of it. I wasn't much inspired by school, or by any teacher. If I could do it again, I hope that it would be very different, but we don't get do-overs in real life. I missed high school, and went to college at night while I worked full time and juggled the responsibilities of a single parent. It wasn't a great time ... College Did the night route. ers who were sensitive to the work / family / learning balance. I was insulted at graduation time, when I went to the placement office at Merrimack College with my 3.8 GPA and asked about meeting with the big 8 firms (At the time, there were 8). I was told that this service was for day students. Can I tell you that my alumni contributions don't buy them a candy bar? Workplace Work has been an adventure. Moving from file clerk in my first job to a Controller of a 50 plus million dollar company 30 years and five companies later was a wild ride. I did a stint at part time, and really enjoyed spending time with my sons ... and then life in its twisted fashion put me back into way too many hours at work and too few at home ... I am hoping that this is only a temporary insanity. Military I support anyone who has the guts to do it. I thank you for your sacrifice, and hope it means that my sons and grandsons never have to do the same thing. Putting yourself at risk unselfishly for my sake, and for my family, is very much appreciated. There is no shame in being strong.
