Tanya's Story
Life
Married, mother of two beautiful children, Oldest is son age 9, and youngest is my daughter whom is 7. Living in Central Florida for three and half yrs and love every minute of it. It only gets cold occasionaly but still will never go back up North. I also have a stepson whom is still in Mass, who is 15 yrs old and we miss him alot. This yr 2008 has been rough but I now understand the meaning of ENJOY YOUR LIFE., DON'T LET IT SLIP AWAY. Back in Feb. I was having routine physical and was diagnosed with Deadly Heart Disease with possible 1-3 yrs of living without treatment, Ended up in the hospital with Pneumonia and congested heart failure., this was sorta no surprise to me., as most of you know my dad died when he was just turning 35 yrs old, as I was a young girl. So we knew it may hit us. I am ok now thankgod for the technology, I just made it to see my daughter turn 7 and my son will be 9. I have an ICD hooked up to my heart to make my quality of life and...Expand for more
time of life longers. So please everyone who reads this don't ignore anything and if you all have familys remember the kids and don't give up...I have a new beginning. and I wouldn't trade it...I almost did. but then saw my babies....I had my first surgery to have the ICD hooked up on July 18th then 10 weeks to the day had to go in for emergency surgery on Sept 12th , 2008 to replace the wiring. Well its been four months since my second operation. and knock on wood everything seems a bit better., I dont normally preach anything. but please if you have heart disease in family make sure all kids are checked. If i was checked as a child I am sure they would of caught my illness., I just had my children checked at age 9 and age 7 and guess what my baby girl whom is age 7 has deadly heart disease as well since she is still growing they may not be able to rewire her heart, so I am asking for everyones prayers. I would love to hear from people. so please write back....
