Tara's Story
Life
After high school, I alternated between work and college classes. In October 2002, I met Mark Pulley. After dating for about three months, we decided to get married, so we did on 7 March 2003, and I've never been happier.
School
I went to Bayless every year from Kindergarden to Senior year. I was a very quiet child, usually by myself, but I made more friends as I got older. I was in band (mostly concert, then marching also my Senior year), a couple musicals, I read a lot, and hung out with my friends. I was also involved in Drama Club, Spanish Club, and Music Club in various years in high school. Basically your average kid.
College
I'm currently taking basics at Meramec (although I'm taking the semester off right now), and still have no clue what I'm going to do as a career. In high school, I had thought about Deaf Communications, but now that doesn't interest me that much. I've been considering ear...Expand for more
ly childhood education, since a lot of people agree that I'm wonderful with kids. (My husband thinks our kids will like me better. ^_^)
Workplace
I took a semester of college off and worked at McDonalds. Then I decided to take a semester and work at the same time. I lasted a few months doing that, then quit. I took classes another semester, then took one off and worked at the St. Louis Dollar Store. I quit before I went on vacation with my in-laws and I'll take another semester this year. Glad I quit when I did. The store went under new management, and they let a few employees go. I could have been one of them! :(
In April of 2005, I was offered a job at Casa dia Montessori, a daycare/preschool, to work with the six week to eight month old babies. It's my favorite job so far, 'cause the babies are so cute. They can be trying at times, but it's all worth it to see them smile at me when I enter the room. ^_^
