Ted Greene is a sole practitioner in Orlando, Florida. The focus areas of his practice are family law and civil litigation. He earned his BA from the University of Central Florida in 1983. Following college, he joined the US Army, and attained the rank of major, and served in a variety of positions worldwide, including as an infantry officer during the first Gulf War, and as a transportation officer on the general staff in Mogadishu, Somalia. He enrolled in law school following his military service, and graduated in the top third of his class. He began his legal career with an insurance and personal injury defense firm, and moved from there to a commercial litigation law firm. It was his experience in corporate defense and commercial litigation that convinced him to establish his own law firm. One of his principal professional goals is to provide quality legal representation with a personal touch to everyday consumers so they are able to enforce their legal rights against the powerful.
Mr. Greene has been involved in litigating between 600 and 800 federal Magnuson-Moss and Florida Lemon Law cases. He has successfully mediated more than a hundred cases to conclusion, negotiated or helped negotiate several hundred others to a favorable settlement for the consumer, and successfully tried or arbitrated more than a dozen cases, repeatedly obtaining awards for the consumers he represents. His trial victories include: James v. General Motors (jury verdict for the consumer); Bruno v. Coggin Chevrolet (arbitration award for the consumers); Moss v. Ford (jury verdict for the consumer); Brewton v. Kia (defendant settled during jury selection); Horvath v. Mercedes-Benz (defendant settled after first day of trial); Horta v.
