Tekia's Story

Life My life is great. I have a daughter named Lanaiya who is 8 yrs old from my marriage. I have been divorced since Sept 2001. I have a degree in Health Care Management and worked in Health Care Administration for approx 6 yrs. I just recently decided to change my career. I am attending Nursing school in Maryland at the University of Maryland-Baltimore School Of Nursing to get my BSN with a graduation date of May 2007. I also am engaged to a wonderful guy named Daniel, you will see him on my posted pictures, our wedding is scheduled for 29 Jun 07 in Tampa Florida. So I am truly blessed. I can't wait until the reunion to catch up with everyone! School I can't say who my biggest crush was in high school... my high school experience seemed so fast paced. I was married in high school and things just went from there. If I could do high school all over again... ?? wow, I enjoyed my time there, we had so much fun... but not something I would do ...Expand for more
over again. I might change some things, but definitely not do again. College I had lots of fun during my college years, it wasn't the typical college experience. I didn't live in the dorms and my experience was extended as I had to take a break to have a baby. I wouldn't change anything. Workplace During High School I worked at KFC... how glamorous. After high school I joined the military Military I joined the military about 6 months after graduation. I have had so much fun. I have traveled to many locations to include: Germany, Turkey, Texas, Washington State, Italy, Greece, and now I am attending Nursing school in Maryland. I love the military and all the opportunities it has offered me. They have paid for all of my college experiences... and now they are paying me full salaray and benefits as well as for my nursing school. You can't beat that. And once I am done I will go from a Sergeant to a Lieutenant. I love the Air Force... :-)
