Life Story
Okay, Here goes,
I Married Sammy Burge in 1977. We had two wonderful children, Sam Bradley Burge, born in July 1984, 26, and Amber Denise Burge, born in Aug 1992, 18. Sam has been with a wonderful girl, Ashley for 12 years now. They FINALLY got Married Dec 12th 2008. I am Very Proud of their accomplishments!
Amber Just Graduated HS. We are going through Chemo, she was diagnosed in March 2010 with Hodgkin Lymphoma and will be undergoing a Bone Marrow Transplant sometime in Aug 2010. She has been a pretty strong girl considering what she has been through and I am VERY Proud of her!
Update: Amber has been cancer free since Aug 2010, she has finished treatments and we go for monthly ck ups now. PRAISE GOD, and Pray this Demon does NOT return!
Update: Amber will be cancer free for 3 Yr's Nov. 2013, Praise God! She is now in Beauty College and loving it. Grad should be In Nov. 2013
Sammy left me after 24Yr's together in 1999.
I remarried a guy from Mesquite, in 2001, and became Tena Barnes. Well, I will try and keep it nice, he was not the person he lead on to be. We were together off and on for 6 Yr's. I divorced him in 2006, changing my Last name back to Burge.
I ran across Ronnie Duke ( Grad From Spruce 1976) New Years Eve 2005, after 20 Yr's. He was married to Stacy Montalvo Class of 79, from 1978 to 1981. They have a son, Joshua who is now 33. He has been married for 5 yrs to a wonderful girl, Katy and they had our 1st Grandchild 1-17-11! These two are my Kiddos Just the same and I am Very Proud of them!
Yes Stacy and I were Best Friends since Kindergarten and we lost touch about 20 yr's ago as well, but we are STILL GREAT Friends and now extended Family!
Well, Who would of thunk it!! Ronnie & I celebrated our 5th yr together this New years, 2011!! WoW, I never thought of him more than JUST a Friend, but we are so lucky we found each other! He was definitely a GOD SEND! He is the LOVE of my life!
Update: Ronnie and I were Married 3-12-11! He is the Love Of My Life!!
Workplace
Well, I guess we all start out Flipping Burgers, LOL. I worked at DQ as a Cook/Cashier and then became Asst. Manager. Started working in Life insurance in 1980. I was in insurance off and on for about 13 Year's. I did ...Expand for more
childcare from my home after having my first child in 1984 for about 2 yr's and then worked in a Day Care after having my 2nd child in 1992 until she was almost 2.
In 96 we moved to Ferris and I worked for Vartec Telecom for 2 years as a Data Entry Clerk.
A position opened up at the High School in Ferris in 1998. I took that job so I could be home with my kids more often.
I was with Ferris for 5 years and changed school districts when I moved to Ennis in 2003.
I also got my CDL license and started driving a SP ED Bus while in Ferris and continue to drive for Ennis now.
I started out helping in Resource classes in 1998 and was moved to a Life Skills unit in 2006. This was also a God send, because I had just Lost My Mother and Best Friend and needed all the HUGS I could get. These kids are so Loving!
I love my job, helping the special needs kids and plan on continuing my education to become a Teacher.

Job Update: 2009- I was Moved to one of the Elementary Schools and have 4th grade age students now. It started out to be a challenge, but I have adapted well after these first couple of weeks. There is a real difference when dealing with a different age group!
It's ALL GOOD!
Job Update: 2011- I fell and hurt my neck at the beginning of the School year Aug 2011. I had to leave my Job until I got through my recovery. I finally had my Surgery end of March 2012. Completely recovered by the time school was beginning in Aug 2013 and was hired by Waxahachie Jr H. I Love it there!
Family Update: Well, my daughter has been battling Cancer since March 2010. She has went through 7 months of Chemo and a Bone Marrow transplant. She did not have the cancer in her Bone Marrow, so she was able to be her own Donner which has been a real blessing. This has helped her recovery time to be very speedy. She is in her own Apt now and doing very well! Please keep her in your prayers, Praying this illness does not return!

Family Update: 2013- My daughter was only able to keep her Apt for 6 months and then funds ran out. She moved back home in 2012. She is continuing her education at National Beauty College here in Ennis and Loves it. She will be Cancer Free for 3 Yrs this coming Sept 2013! Praise God for all his wonders!
