Teresa's Story
Life
Right after high school I moved to Rockford IL for two years to attend college. I moved back home to Chillicothe, where I met my first husband. We divorced shortly after having a daughter. I worked at a lot of mundane jobs, just trying to raise my little girl, until I met my fiance. He allowed me to go back to college to finish my BA in Psychology, and Im now doing temporary work for Goodwill Industries as a job coach until I can go back to get my Master's in counseling. I have 4 kids altogether and am living a quiet country life in Vinton County.
School
Ahhh school, what can I say? The best part about it was chorus and band. And that was pretty much it! Well, those lunches in the gym with my few good friends were fun too, and the dances. But I don't miss it and I'm glad it's over.
College
The first time, college was a blast. Partys on the weekends, hanging out with my friends, my first real love...those were the da...Expand for more
ys. If you don't count Physics class--that was about as bad as it got. Well, there was my roommate's boyfriend with the really smelly feet....Heh, but anyway, that was only for two years, then real life smacked me in the face. I didn't get to return until about 10 years later. I found that I still loved it, even more than I had before, at least the classes portion. I finished my BA in Psychology at Ohio University-Chillicothe campus, and plan to return to earn my Master's in couseling ed.
Workplace
Ug, well this would be the most boring post if I actually detailed my work history. If ya wanna know where I've been, I'll send ya a resume. Right now, I'm working as a job coach for Goodwill Industries. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either--the clientele frequently requires more patience than I have to give. I do a bit of computer work on the side as well, so two part time jobs keep me a little busier than I would like to be.
