Teresa's Story
I attended Hall Elementary School, Monrovia Elementary School in 6th grade, Monrovia Jr. High in first half of 7th grade and Clay City High School 7th grade through Senior, graduating in 1977. I married shortly after graduating high school. I worked in a couple factories for about 3 yrs., then traveled with my husband as a long distance truck driver for a couple years. It was difficult to raise our son (Joe) on the road, so I opted to become a stay at home Mom. After 6 years of marriage, we divorced. Shortly thereafter, I married my present husband Mark, and gained a wonderful step-daughter. Mark and I then added a daughter in 1985, and son in 1989. egal for about a year and a half, before I became a secretary/hostess/jack of all trades at a funeral home for the next 10 years. I am now a Real Estate Agent. We have 8 grandchildren. Joe has twin boys & a little girl; Mark's daughter has a little boy; and our youngest daughter has 3 boys and a baby girl. My eldest son is in the military and has done a tour of duty in Iraq and more recently in Afghanistan. Our daughters live and work locally and our youngest son is attending college specializing in chemical engineering. I occasionally run into someone I went to high school with, but joined classmates as a way to see or hear some news from those I once knew and saw on a daily basis.
