Terry's Story

Went to UBC, graduated from Medicine, got my fellowship in Anesthesia. Left hospital work and set up an Outpatient practice. Intensive-care work had taken over my life. Retired about 12 years ago Did a lot of running until I figured I was doing more damage to my hips and knees than I was helping my heart, so I stopped. I have been heavily involved in amateur sports and officiated hockey, basketball, field lacrosse, but most of all box lacrosse. I have been involved wit the New Westminster Salmonbellies for about 22 years. I was the GM of the WLA team for 15 years when we won a couple of Mann Cups and finished off as the President for a couple of years. Heavily involved with the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame and have been the treasurer for the last 8 or so years. Still working with a Junior B team across the street in Queens Park. Married for coming up to fifty years. My wife, Marl...Expand for more
ene Kober, graduated from King Ed in '58. A daughter, 44, in the UK working for the BBC for the last 30 years and now into union activities. A son, 38, trying to get on staff with the Vancouver School Board as a high school science / math teacher. Neither of them married and no grandchildren. Follow the Canucks closely, too closely in fact. Gave up on football, but became quite interested in Super 14 Rugby and Tri-Nations. Developed a seeming obsession with cars. At least, I seem to have trouble getting rid of them and I'm having trouble finding places to park them. Follow Formula 1 and I have been to Monaco with plans to do a few more. I also went to the 24 Hour race at Le Mans - that was a cold and rainy night. I want to get to the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps next year. Moules/frites/biere and a Grand Prix: you can't beat that. Enough of this narcissism.
