Terry's Story
Well we left Manitouwadge when I was seventeen, we moved to Dor Val, Que. When I left home I moved to Winnipeg and there I met a young girl who turned out to be Paul and Benny Barton's cousin. Got married and moved to Alberta and have been here for the last 49 years. We live in Beaumont, Ab about 20 minute drive to Edmonton.
I have one son Greg who is 46 and I have four grandchildren Brendon is 23, Kristin is 21, Gianni is 4 and Lily is 1 1/2. And yes they are all four his, Last two were a great surprise. He ownes his own Hot Shot company and sometimes I take trips for him to help out. This summer I went to Thunder...Expand for more
Bay twice (long drive!!!), Winnipeg twice, Surrey BC and quite often to Regina, Saskatoon and Swift Current.
When my parents lived in Balmertown, I stopped in to see Melvin Simmoneau in Red Lake, that was quite a few years ago.
I'm hoping to be fully retired next year!! Right now I do a lot for the Beaumont Seniors Club, on the Board of Directors and volunteer a lot. Very time consuming.
I remember most people from Manitouwadge, often wonder where some of them are, like Gaetan Gagnon, Diana Mitchell, Frank McKinnon. Frank never knew it but I had the biggest crush on him. Oh well!!!!!
