Terry's Story
Life
I am a published author of "Vivie's Secret" (Black Rose Writing) and "The Big Day" (Star Bright Books.). After spending almost 30 years in public library management and a brief stint as the reference librarian/ consultant for the Beck Cultural Exchange Center's Margaret Carson Library of African American History and as a Cataloging Specialist / Consultant with the Knox County Public Library, I became Special Projects librarian for the McClung Collection at KCPL.. 7, I was extremely active in animal rescue, focusing my efforts on rescuing, rehabilitating, and socializing stray and feral cats. I continue to be a community activist and writer. My first book, Sergeant Stubby, Soldier-Dog was licensed by Schoolwide, Inc. in 2015 for their digital subscripti0n library. I now own the rights and hope to have it traditionally published in the coming years. I was married to my soul mate for almost 40 years before unexpectedly losing him in 2017.
