Life After leaving MHS in 1971, Betty Dutton (1971 Yorkwood) and I were married in August. We were blessed with a son, Troy, in April of 1973 and a daughter, Jennifer, in Feb. of 1976. In 1972 I went to work for Farm King Supply in Monmouth,IL until 1976. In Oct. of 1976 I went to work for the IL Dept. of Transportation as a Engineering Technician. In 1985 Betty & I divorced and I moved to Galesburg, IL. During this time I was working on the new 4 lane highway from Monmouth to Galesburg where I met my current wife Debbie Murphy from Kickapoo,IL, who also worked for IDOT. Deb had just gotten a divorce from a short term marriage. Deb and I both had the same interests and in Sept. 1986 we were married. In 1987 Deb & I were blessed with a son, Ryan, who was born in Oct. I worked for IDOT until Dec. 31, 2002, when I took advantage of an early retirement incentive IDOT was offering.
