Terry's Story
I loved the years at Washington Elementary school. I remember playing a lot of hopscotch and marbles and tetherball and playing on the monkey bars and dodge ball. We had air raids and we had to get under our desk or go out in the hall and crouch down. and one of the disabled kids said very loudly, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." That was a quote from President Kennedy. We all burst out laughing. I wish I had pictures of the school or even class pictures me, or my brother Lance or sister Kathleen were in. We were so lucky to go to such a fun school.
