Terry's Story

Life I was born at Barlow Hollow in Maybeury, WV (McDowell County) in 1941 and moved to Sagamore Hollow, McComas, WV (Mercer County) in 1942. I attended Sagamore Grade School through the 6th. grade and McComas High School until the second semester of the 8th. grade. We moved to Princeton in December of 1953 and I finished the 8th grade at Knob Grade School. I went to Princeton High School on Straley Avenue during my freshmen and sophomore years. In 1956, at the beginning of my junior year, we all moved into the "new" high school and I graduated there in 1958. I graduated from Concord College in 1963 and taught/coached a year at Fort Chiswell High School in Wythe County, Virginia. I then went to the University of Tennesse, Knoxville and in 1965 earned a Masters degree in Physical Education. ed to the University of Tennessee to work on a Doctorate in Exercise Physiology. I earned that degree in 1972 and moved to Jacksonville, Florida where I became a founding faculty member of the University of North Florida (UNF). In June of 2007, I completed my 35th. year as a full-time faculty member at UNF. I retired from UNF in August 2007. Since December 1963, I have been married to Joyce Vinson from Man (Logan County), WV. She is also a graduate of Concord College (1964) and the University of Tennessee (1967). We have two daughters, Teri Rae Stevens (Mrs. Russell Stevens) and Leigh Ann Bronson (Mrs. Frank Bronson), one granddaughter, Ashley Leighann Stevens, a grandson, Max Tabor Bronson, born October 18, 2005 ,another grandson, Jake Cooper Bronson, born May 7, 2007 and a granddaughter, Sydney Lynn Bronson, born January 26, 2009. We all live in Orange Park, Florida.

You think I was the first one on the dock, this morning? ?? Leave only foot prints! :))
Typical teen.......everyone else has put in 20 some odd miles on the bikes. She decided to chill, today---still in her jammies at 1 p.m. lol. But, she did kayak about 7 miles, yesterday. :))
How to cook in the RV without disturbing the dog's nap! :))
A walk on the beach was nice, but very hot this morning. The guy behind me was soooo hot, he sprinted to the water. :))
Next time, we will have our swim attire on---water was beautiful.
This stretching routine shows the difference in our ages---my leg is a bit lower than Sheryl's for some reason!?? :)))
