Terry's Story

After a stint at Engineering at U of T, I worked in QC at Pilkington Glass for 30 years. later was self employed in home renovations. Most fun was driving school bus for 2 years. Currently retired in Peterborough with my wife, Cathy. Married 48 years, 4 kids. Our 3 boys are all teachers. Not all rosy. When I was in grade 9 my father went to jail and then totally deserted us. And nobody helped. I finally had to help myself. Some had it worse. Like my best friend in grade 9 who never made...Expand for more
it to grade 10. It wasn't all bad. In grade 12 I was singing and playing rhythm guitar in a rock n roll band, The Extrordinaires. To book us you had to pay $60, which in today's money would be a thousand bucks. so I guess we were not bad. Played quite a few gigs. Then I got tired of the whole thing and quit. No regrets. My health is good. July 2021. No covid. We even went to Florida for a month last Jan. Maybe that was dumb. I tell everyone that on a good day I feel like I am 70 again.
