Theodore's Story

Life After finishing the University of Illinois with a major in Russian and Economics, I went to Japan in 97. Was the Head of Security for Vodafone Japan and I am Married. Now I am apart of TI audit for Citibank. Very fun indeed. I never thought I would work for Citibank ever in my entire life. School Biggest Crush. I refuse comment. In fact, I wish I could eliminate her from my memory. Man did I ever suffer for that one. Whoever wrote the book on love forgot to write the recommendation that I go to Japan and stop living in Illinois for a while. I mean, it should have been written like this: Ted, Stop reading now. Go to Japan. You will never be happy here. It is futile. Get a Japanese chick now. Would have made life clear. Inspiration: I forgot his name....One of the History teachers and the Live Savers leader. I am so bad with names still.... He was good. I don't think I would do it all over again unless I had a way to drug my parents at home and make them go out and get jobs. Living not so middle class was hard and they were psycho at home. Other than that, I wish I would not have been so suicidal. I think I should have gotten drunk at least once and gotten to 3rd base a few times. Besides that I wish I whould have studied Physics and German. The rest was rather good and I am fond of many memories. I do wish I had spent more time having fun with friends instead of being such a loner. The best time was Junior year, from August to Jan. That was wonderful! Everyone was so fun. Good times of course was Halloween on the Strip and riding my bike. Crazy thing that I did....there was one girl in this class whose window I and 2 of my friends looked into as she was undressing..... It was worth it.... All I got to say is that I am not surprised that so many guys liked her... She was beautiful! Hope you all find this amusing. I will try to write something else here when I got the memory. College University of Illinois Urbana Champaign all the way baby!!! ILLINI ILLINI ILLINI!!!! Best and only room mate: Joe A. Very good guy. I gave him a hard time. Sorry Joe. Wish I could have been nicer to you. I was an ass hole and I admit it! Cafeteria food. I worked at ISR Food Services. IT was great! I can still load that machine properly. In fact, I think after I make my millions, I will buy one for my home. Life was perfect there. All nighters! MAN THAT WAS GOOD!!!!!! We were crazy! The papers were in French, Russian, Japanese, and English. I loved Economics especially European Economic History with Dr. Neal. He was so good. I still read about this stuff now. Finance was good, History was good. Man everything was good there. 5 years and the only regret that I have it that I graduated. That was hard for us. The best part for me was being with my small group. I prayed and lived with them. They were my best friends. I was with a lot of Korean-Americans and they had a very HIGH and positive influence on my life. Very thankful to God for them. Reading the Bible was great and then ...Expand for more
reading Calvin was transformational. I still read him. That was just great. Cannondale riding, listening to Techno, computers, Latin books, European Economic Review, Forbes, Espresso Royale coffee, good people talking forever these were the best times of my life. Nothing I had now compares to it. I lived in Paris for a year while I studied at the Sorbonne. Then I lived in Russia for one semester while studying Russian. Russia was very challenging. Paris was an absolute dream. For one yeah I had no worries, no sadness. I mean nothing. I was absolutely happy. Beyond happy infact. When I was there, I thought this is how heaven would be because for all of my days I had always wanted to go to heaven and had to endure hardship daily. However, in Paris there were no hardships. Then I realized that Heaven was going to be very good indeed and worth waiting for. It was perfect. The best bike rides of my life were throught the streets of Paris. Rode sometimes about 120 miles a day just going back and forth while listening to theology lectures and techno. Man that was good!!!!! Again, the only bad part about U of I was that it ended. Thought I was going to die the day left and lived in depression for about 2 years. Then started to get out of it. I wonder if any one else had other experiences like that or if I was the only crazy one. e-mail me!!!! Workplace Everyone, this Web Page really bites because I work in Tokyo Japan for Vodafone Japan. Man, talk about an American-centric page! Any way, I work for Citbank Japan now and I have started my own company at the same time. I'M GONNA BE RICH!!!!!!! Made $250,000 in one year and spent a lot of it. My Wife and I have new everything. The career is good to, lots to do. I have no idea what my next endeavor will be but I have been working on a project what if sucessful will net me $2 million with reoccuring $25,000 monthly.... I figured this out BEFORE I read Poor Dad Rich Dad which I am reading right now. I pretty much figured out chapter one on my own, now looking to understand the rest of it. Got a admit that I have more money with my own business than with my Citibank work. Working for a company is only good for getting experience, that is about it. Working for your self and selling other people's services while you get a cut is like totally the way to go. I still can not believe how easy it is to make money now. I mean, if I can do this easily and I am a Black foreigner living in Japan then I wonder why my other friends aren't able to pull it off in the States. Only 31 but I have more oppurtunies to make HUGE amounts of cash and still I got the secure job in the back ground. Thank God the recession is over here in Japan. I am just going to start investing like wild so I can retire when I am around 45. I plan on retiring then and living in Paris, Champaign-Urbana, and Cali for the rest of my life. I hope the rest of you are doing well but just let me tell you, get out of the rat race!!! It is horrible! I hope you are just able to enjoy money and career as much as I am.
