Theresa (Terry)'s Story

Life I married the year after graduation. I am still married to that wonderful man, Jim (Fergy) Ferguson. We have three beautiful girls (all married to wonderful men), seven handsome grandsons and three gorgeous granddaughters. After working as a management consultant and a 911 dispatcher, then owning and running the Cornerstone Cafe, I slowed the pace down to "manageable". I was part-time church office manager for a few years, then worked as marketing support at Merck & Co in Whitehouse Station, NJ. The company merged with Schering Plough six years later and I was laid off. I went back to school and got my license as a certified Universal Code and Construction technical assistant. I worked for a time in Washington Township and Phillipsburg in their C&C departments. Currently I am a front desk coordinator for an outpatient hospital physical therapy clinic. I am enjoying being a Grammy! I formerly served on the town Planning Board and as a member of the Phillipsburg Downtown Association. I enjoyed running our mayor's reelection campaign a few years ago. My family and I are very involved in our local church, and I LOVE photography and scrapbooking. After living in the Toms River area for 10+ years, we moved to a more rural mountain setting in Warren County, NJ. We have a lovely home and enjoy the scenery of the area. I really enjoy vacationing on Anastasia Island in northern Florida, fishing at Smith Mountain Lake in Virgini...Expand for more
a, and visiting my daughter and her family in Indiana (where my son-in-law serves in the Air Force). I am a big NY Mets and huge NY Giants fan. I still have not realized my dream of writing a book (sorry Mr. Jaeger!), but I am still young enough to accomplish that when life slows down a bit more and I can focus. I really haven't heard from many people from high school over the years, since I really didn't have any "close" friendships. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess. If prompted enough, I might attend the next class reunion. School I didn't fit into any particular "clique"...I did my own thing, and for that I don't think I was accepted by most. I remember Mr. Brian Jaeger as being my favorite teacher, in addition to Ms. Trixie Moskowitz. I loved writing poetry and short stories, and I enjoyed singing in the chorus. I remember two short-lived, but meaningful relationships- one with Brian Schaeffer and one with Doug Murphy, and meeting the love of my life, Jim Ferguson, during the teachers' strike after I joined the Iselin First Aid Squad. We enjoyed our first date at the "tire park." I'll always remember how many people came to pay their respects when my father passed away during senior year. I didn't think I had many friends, and I was surprised how many people showed they cared. I haven't heard from many people since graduation, and I didn't attend the reunions. I am curious to know how my classmates are doing in life.
