I went to school while I was in the Army and after retirement so it took a little longer that normal as you can see:
Doctor of Philosophy in International Business (Ph.D.) Kennedy Western University, Thousand Oaks, CA
Master of Science Degree in Human Resources, University of Central Texas, Killeen, TX. 1988.

Workplace
After retiring from the military I persued a career in human resources, which I prepared for by receiving my Masters in HR. My experience in the Army also helped giving me great oppertunities in management and leadership.
My civilian career started again in Texas when I becan a position with the Texas Employment Commission as a Veteran interviewer. After a few years I moved to a position with the Texas Department of Mental Health (MHMR) as a Human Resources Officer, and eventually as a Program Administrator with the State Headquarterd.
I left there in 1997 to take a position in deep South Texas (McAllen) as a Director of Human Resources and eventually mover to the Washington, DC, area as a Human Resources Director.
I currently work as a Human Capit...Expand for more
al Officer with the Office of Personnel Management. I am looking forward to finding a HR Director position in either Flordia or Texas and moving back to a warmer climate.
Military
I entered the US Army in 1966 after 4 months delayed entry. Basic training was at Fort Knox, AIT Fort Gordon with my first assignment to the 543rd MP Company, Fort Knox.
Assigned to USARV in March 1967 and eventually to the 23rd Infantry Division (Amercal) I completed my one year in Vietnam in 1968 and returned to a CONUS assignment with the 523rd MP Company in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.
In 1971 I was assigned for the first of three tours in Germany, first as a Military Policeman/Criminal Investigator and ending with an assignment as an instructor on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle from 1983 to 1985.
In 1976 I was reclassified from Military Police to Armor in a massive Army realignment. I became a Master Gunner on the General Sheridan Tank an eventually as a Drill Sergeant training troops as Cavalry Scouts.
After the completion of my 3rd tour in FRG, I returned to Fort Hood, Texas, where I served with the 3/66 Armor Bn, retiring in 1989 just before the deactivation of the 2ns Armored Division.
