Thomas's Story

I married Kathryn Elizabeth Gallo on 12 August 1972 and we have been together since that day. Our Daughter, Elizabeth Anne, was born on 11 April, 1980 and married John Jeffery Squires on 27 March, 2004. I am now entering a new phase of my life as the grandfather of four children. Joshua Thomas Squires was born August 27th 2007, Katelyn Elizabeth was born October 27th 2008 and Meka Ann and Medina Leigh were born in Ethiopia on 22 April 20012. My wife and I moved from Shippensburg, after almost 30 years of a comfortable living style, to Shrewsbury (Pennsylvania) to be closer to them and I spend as much time babysitting and visiting with them as possible. After graduating from the U.S. Military Academy in 1971, I stayed in the military and traveled around the world until I resigned in 1983 as a Major. I enjoyed the military and had a wonderful time, but knew when my daughter was born in 1980, that...Expand for more
I would be leaving the service to ensure she had a stable upbringing. My last duty station was Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg PA and I was hired back as a civilian worker doing basically the same job as when I was military. I was again able to travel around the world and the country and enjoyed that life until 1996. At that time, the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) hit Letterkenny and I had to either move to Huntsville Alabama or Rock Island Illinois. I chose neither and took an early retirement (with not much money!!) I spent one year teaching Math and Science at Fannett-Metal High School and then 14 years teaching Math at Greencastle-Antrim Middle School. I enjoyed teaching but was ready to retire as of June 2009. I spent 15 years coachinig fast pitch girls softball and 19 years of Field Hockey. The 2009 season was my last at Greencastle and I will miss the team and coaching very much!

Probably "R" rated, but ranks with the best we have seen off or on Broadway. Gabrielle McClinton is a real star. The other leads are great and can sing, dance and act with the best. Then they have an unbelievable cast arou

Kathy took me to Boone Hall Mansion in Charleston SC and I thought she said Boone's Farm. I was ready for an afternoon of wine tasting and not all that walking through mansions and gardens. LOL

Thank you to Rosemary and Rust for delivering this beautiful bouquet to my wonderful wife on Valentine's Day.
Lone Pine at Boone Hall Farm. Look closely towards the top of the tree.
Look even closer and see the Eagle's Nest. Could not tell how many Eagles there were, but it was quite noisy.
