Thomas's Story
Life
Hi to everyone! Since High School, I went into the Navy and completed a 20 year career in August of 2004, most of it on submarines. I have been married and divorced and have a lovely daughter who lives in Lapeer. I am currently in Pottstown, Pennsylvania working for Exelon Corporation at the Limerick, Pa Nuclear Generating Station as an Instructor for Equipment Operators. I am hoping to be able to chat with alot of my old friends that I haven't seen in years and look forward to hearing from you.
School
I had alot of fun in High School. I made many friends and because of being away for almost 20 years I have lost touch with alot of them. But I do think of all of you, (Too many to name) and hope that each one of you are doing well. Feel free to get in touch.
College
There's not much to tell here. I transferred some credits, and am currently going to night schoo...Expand for more
l for an Electrical Engineering Degree. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner because of some bad advice while in the military. (I was told I had a degree)
Workplace
I have moved on to become an instructor for the Training Department after qualifying as an Equipment Operator at Limerick Generating Station near Philadelphia. The mony's good, and I work less hours.
Military
I retired in August of 2004 as an E-6 (MM1(SS)), having served on three major submarines and temporarily assigned to 2 others. Mainly I worked in the engineering side of the sub, working on the reator systems. Most missions were dull, while I have had a few cool ones that are still classified. I have no regrets about my career, except for thinking about getting out at about my 12 year point, allowing that to affect me becoming an officer. But overall, I don't think I would change too much.
