Thomas's Story
Hi Everybody,
If you are reading this, you're probably curious as to how I'm doing, so here goes:
I had an unhappy first marriage that I stayed in way to long because Catholics don't get divorced. On 9/11, I lost a close friend and I suddenly realized life was too short to be lived unhappily. I got a divorce from my first wife (and the Church) and moved on. I found a wonderful woman, Beth, who basically completes my life. She's smart, sexy, funny, and somehow manages to put up with me.
In May 1980, I graduated NYU Law School and started working at a small law firm in Newark, Sills Cummis & Gross. I initially thought I would leave after a few years and open my ow...Expand for more
n practice, but before I knew it the firm had grown to 175 lawyers and I made partner in 1987. I can't believe it, but I have now been here 29 years. I do commercial litigation; sometimes boring but it pays well, I'm good at it, and it sure beats manual labor!
Two great things from my first marriage are my son Tommy and daughter Lizzie. Tommy is an 2nd year actuarial student at Penn State and a Math genius. Lizzie is a Junior at Pascack Hills HS. I have enjoyed my children far more than I ever expected.
