Life 03/25/1958 Airman Recruit Reported to Great Lakes Naval Training Center 06/14/1958 Reported to UNAAS Kingsville, Texas 08/23/1958 Reported to NATECHTRACEN Norman, Oklahoma 09/27/1958 Reported to RECSTA Norfolk, Virginia 10/06/1958 Reported to Helasron Seven Norfolk, Virginia I was the line yoeman and movie operator for Helasron Seven Squadron. We went to sea on the USS Valley Forge CVS 45 and USS Randolph CVS 15. We picked up two of the first astronauts. Two of the scary moments was when we sere struck by a Liberian Oil Tanker. The next one we were damaged by a Hurricane at sea. I joined the Navy to see the World, but all I got to see was Norfolk, Virginia, Halifax N. S., Quebec, Montreal Canada New York City, Philadelphia, PA.,Bermuda, Jamaica, Saint Thomas Virgin Island, Puerto Rico, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, and more that I can't remember. 05/05/1960 Transferred to US Naval Hospital Portsmouth, Virginia for Acute Appendicitis 05/18/1960 Returned to Helasron Seven Norfolk, Virginia for active duty 03/23/1962 Reported to Fleet Reserve for inactive duty in Decatur, Illinois While in school I helped out in Johns Hill Jr. High School Cafeteria. and Tolly's market. Out of school I have worked for Tolly's and Neil Breden's food markets, GS Lyons Lumber company as a cabinet maker, Jenkins Music manufacturing of Guitars, DC Police Department of Washington, DC C&P Telephone Company. I worked a few othe odd jobs to earn money that I can't remember. I Retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone in Maryland. as so bashful they will never know about it. In High School I was even more bashful and had to depend on others people to get me a date. Boy the Navy sure cured that bashful problem and the Police Department did even more for my ego in asking girls out. Then marriage cured my ego problem. College I attended the DC Metropolitan Police Department Academy.
