Tim's Story
Like Forrest Gump...."I've worn lots of shoes!" After graduation, and like many in our class, I attended South Alabama for two years. Then in June of '83, I joined the US Army Reserves and went on active duty until July of '84. I then transferred to the University of Alabama, and walked on to play football in the Fall of '84. I tore up my knee near the end of the season, and graduated in the Spring of '87 with a BS/BA. I stayed an extra year and got my MA in English Literature in '88. I cam...Expand for more
e off my original enlistment in '90 as a sergeant, trained in Combat Medical and flew in Medical Evac helicopters. Since then, I've been happily married for 33 years, have two grown children, and work in the field of home medical equipment. I was the guy that said "no way I'm moving back to Mobile!" I've been here since '97 after a 9 year stay in Atlanta. Yeah, Atlanta traffic makes Airport Boulevard look like a Sunday School picnic! Glad to be back home and hope we can all get together soon!
