Tim's Story
Life
I attended Kirby high school for 8th and 9th grade before moving to the Philly area and attending Souderton.
After graduation, I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, receiving my bachelor of science degree in aeronautical engineering.
After college, I took the I.T. route, going to work at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where I spent three years as a systems engineer. From there, I became a consultant for the Kentucky Department of Information Systems (now the Commonwealth Office Of Technology--I call it COOTers). While there, I gained more exposure with Microsoft-related applications spanning PC, Client-Server, and internet development.
I currently work in Frankfort, Kentucky as an application developer for the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.
I recently finished my MBA at Morehead State University and I'm studying financial planning on the side, with hopes of gaining a CFP...Expand for more
designation.
As for outside activities, I teach classes at my church, read, write, work out at the gym, play with my cat (Sneaky), and shoot in long-distance rifle competitions. Yeah...I'm one of those right-wing bloggers! ;)
Workplace
Worked for Electronic Data Systems in Anderson, Indiana from 1993-1994, achieving designation of Engineering Systems Engineer.
From 1994-2000, I was a consultant for SCB Computer Technology, designing computer and internet applications for various state government agencies in Kentucky.
In the summer of 2000, I became a system developer for Kentucky Virtual University. My job was eventually absorbed into the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, where I currently design internet applications and databases.
In my spare time, I teach classes at my church, work out at the gym, play with my cat (Sneaky), and keep my marksmanship strong by going to the shooting range.
