Four days after Christmas of 2002, I found myself on a plane to Kuwait in support of the Landing Force Support Party, in off loading the equipment used by the Marine Corps for Operation Iraqi Freedom 1. I returned Father's Day 2003 and returned to Kuwait February 21, 2004. Following a training and moving period in Kuwait, I drove a Logistics Vehicle System 450 miles to Camp Taqqudam, Iraq and would stay there until September 24, 2004. After spending just over 1 year with my family, I deploy to Communications Company, Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. After spending 5 months in Okinawa, I was sent to Jacksonville, Florida for 14 months of temporay additional duties. This trip has presented many opportunities and challenges in both my personal and professional life.
