Tim's Story
Military
In 1979, i joined The Army, had my basic training in Ft. knox Ky.. If you have seen the movie "Stripes"
(like who hasn't) you might know that it was filmed there. I was a tank gunner in the 2nd Armored Div., down in Ft. Hood Tx, and Germany. I had the best time while I was playing Army.
And talk about a small world... I am walking through a mall in Temple Texas of all places and pass Frank McMillan walking the other way. He joined the...Expand for more
same time but went to helicopter school as a mechanic.
While I was living in Texas I was suprised with a visit from John Conley, Marion Conley, Eddie Wright, so we decided to go get plastered, never mind that the next day I was going out for training for a couple of weeks.
I managed to get us all into a barfight (we won) and then right after it was all over, who should I run into... David Lane! "where in the heck were you twenty minutes ago?"
