Tina's Story
I met my husband Eugene in high school and we've been married for 29 years. We have one son, Zachary, and he is just about to turn 25 years old. He married his college sweetheart almost 2 years ago now and they both work at Methodist College. He is the Circulation Manager & Supervisor in the Davis Memorial Library & Leslie is an Administrative Assistant. He plays basketball, of course (like father, like son) and he is very tall!; 6 foot 6 inches; much taller than me or his dad. I feel very short standing next to him. He is definitely my pride and joy! We are extremely close!
I have worked at UNC Pembroke in the department of English & Theatre, as their Technological Support Technician for 13 years now. I love my job and it keeps me very busy! I travel a lot now with my job. I don't have a lot of free time but I can usually be found on a computer somewhere.
In the free time that I do have, I am usually doing girly things (yes, I'm still as prissy as ever) like shopping or going to a spa. I still love pageants! I have just found a new love of clothes and boots. I love to watch TV; especially Reality Television & soap operas but I usually fall asleep on everything I'm trying to watch! I enjoy technological conferences that I attend and I love building computers. I love to travel. I have a new found love of reading! I love Nicholas Sparks and I like to read about real life murders. I know, weird huh? I love flying and cooking when I feel like it. I still LOVE music! Journey is still my ab...Expand for more
solute all time favorite band! Steve Perry is still sooooooo hot! I still love rock and roll! I am a die hard Duke fan, love DUKE BASKETBALL!!!! and I love Mexican food, especially burritos & margaritas!
I have 2 dogs now and they are all spoiled ROTTEN! Spike Lee is my little baby (he's only 2 years old) and he can usually be found laying across my shoulders while I'm surfing the web or working from home.
I don't see many of my friends from high school. I do see Sharlene Ransom Locklear at work and we talk as often as we can. I see Tela Steen Brooks from time to time when I'm in the library.
The one thing that would surprise people about me is that I just recently lost 100 pounds!
I don't remember most of my teachers from high school. That was too long ago!
I guess the wildest thing I ever did in high school was jump off the back of moving truck!
My first crush is still around Pembroke and I see him from time to time. My first love I let get away!
I hope my old friends remember me as a person who was lots of fun!
My biggest surprise is that I ended up working in Pembroke! but I love it! And, now, I'm looking so forward to RETIREMENT!!!!
If I could do one thing over from high school I would change some of the decisions I made in 10th grade. Can't elaborate!
The weirdest job I ever had was a telemarketer before I got my degree!
I've lived in Lumberton for all of my married life!
And I think I've told you about everything that's going on with me! Hope to see you all at the next reunion!
