Tina's Story
After high school I went to UNM and received a BA in Creative Writing (minor Women Studies). I then went to Antioch College and completed an MA in Women Studies, focusing on transgendered issues. I am in the process of working on a PhD in Natural Health and will likely pursue a certification in Holistic Animal Health.
Through this all I worked full-time in International Real Estate and then at 24 started working in Medical Education at UNM SOM. I've now ventured into the arena of research, still within my department, and will be writing education and training grants with a focus on rural and underserved populations.
I have traveled most of the world and continue to do so. Have managed to make it to several countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and been to a little over half of the states, Canada and Mexico. Still waiting to get to South American and Antarctica.
I currently live with my partner, Deran, and his daughter, Emma (half-time) and we have a dog, three cats and big old fishtank.
